Party Prep

Today we are getting ready for Valentine's Day parties tomorrow at our elementary school. My little bit is so excited because she gets to stay all day at school. She normally stays only half day. She also was able to stay all day earlier this week because of the 100th day of school celebration. She would love to stay all day every day. I try to tell her that every year after this one she will stay all day. It is hard to understand when you are five. It is also pj and crazy hair day. I will try to post a picture later. I'm sure it will be an interesting day.

MRI Results

I called and talked to one of the nurses at my doctor's office. She said that the doctor had already seen my results and said no new lesions. This is really good news. I am glad to hear that perhaps this medicine I am on is finally doing something to slow down my MS. After the first medicine I was on didn't work, I was half expecting this one to not work when they kept finding new lesions. I still have an appointment in a couple of weeks with the doctor. I will let you know what he has to say after we see him.

MS Walk 2011

I just registered for the MS Walk 2011. I have named our team this year Tri-State Walkers. It is really hard to think of cool names for teams. I am not very creative. If I find another name I like better, it may change again next year. :) Anyways, the walk is on April 9th. I would love to have a bigger group than last year. If you would like to join, just let me know. It is a fundraiser, but it is free to register and participate. The walk is about 3 miles. Last year, my sister-in-law made it 8 months pregnant! Such a trooper. We were a little concerned we would have to deliver my new nephew before we finished. LOL! If you can't join us, please support us with your prayers. You can never have too much prayer.

Make-Up Day

My MRI was scheduled for Tuesday this week but I rescheduled for Friday because of the snow. It went fine like every other one. I am going to try and call one of the nurses in the middle of next week. I am hoping they can see if the results are back. It would be nice to know the results before my appointment with the doctor. I will keep you posted.

Christmas

Christmas was great. My hubby and the kids just put the tree up last night. It is mid-January, so I guess it's time. We had several different days celebrating with our family. It was lots of fun. The kids received plenty of gifts. We celebrated here at home. Then the kids and I went to my parents after Christmas. We had a great time there. We were able to see my parents and grandparents and my brother's family. We also went to Bristol Motor Speedway to see the lights. They put lights up and you drive all around to see the different lights. The money raised goes to charity. It's lots of fun. You even get to drive on the track. A great time was had by all.

Five Cans of Lysol

Well, it is almost Christmas and 3/5 of my family is sick. We are praying that the end is near and that we will ALL be well by Saturday. So, I stopped by the library for a few minutes on my way to the store to pick up some Lysol. Merry Christmas everyone!

Hello, December

Just a small update because I know it has been more than 2 weeks. The family is doing well. I am at the library right now with the boy. He is doing some reading in a nice comfy chair while I catch up on some computer work. We had an awesome Thanksgiving break. We all got to go to visit my family in Tennessee. Always love having a good visit with family. (The great food was just a bonus!) We are getting some snow. Nothing too bad, but it has been so cold it is hanging out for a while.

I am doing well. Feeling about the same. I go back for another MRI in January and see the doc in February. My doctors moved offices and changed to a different hospital they are affiliated with. I am still going to have my MRIs at the same place even though it is at a different hospital. This is sort of what the one I go to looks like.



The man who runs the machine is extra nice. I went to another hospital once and the lady there was not bad, just not extremely friendly. I felt like I was bothering her by being there. Anyways, I need to get home so I can fix some dinner. Homemade pizza is on the menu for tonight. YUM!
