Medicine

It has been over 3 years since I was diagnosed with MS. I have been taking injections that long, too. I haven't had any skin reactions so far. Except the other day, when I tried to push in the medicine it wouldn't work. I just couldn't make it go in. It was weird. I have also been having trouble remembering if I took my medicine or not. So, I am starting something new. I am going to try and mark on the medicine the date I am supposed to take it. That way if I cannot remember I can look at the date. Hopefully that will work. My other medicine that I take to help with my fatigue, I am still thinking of how I can remember that better. I have tried little pill reminders. Maybe I just need to find a good spot to put them... Still working on it. They have introduced a pill you can take for MS but I haven't asked the doctor about it yet. It is very new. I think I will wait a bit and do more research on it first. What I am on is working so I'll probably stick with it for as long as I can.

Mom

I had a great visit with my mom. We played lots of cards. Games like trashcan, kings in the corner, 21 and war. We went to the mall and the kids got in these big gerbil like balls. It was pretty funny watching them. Mom's camera has some pretty good pictures. I was able to take her to see where I work and to the church we have been visiting. She was able to go to a winter guard competition, too. She usually sleeps in my daughter's bed, but now that it is a loft bed she opted for the couch. Buddy, our dog, really enjoyed the extra attention, too. I am so glad that she was able come stay with us. Hopefully, I will figure out how to get some of mom's pictures on here later.

Birthday Time

Sunday we were able to celebrate my girls turning 14 and 7. I cannot believe how old my girls are getting. We had such a fantastic time. We had their party at the gymnastics place where I work. Here are my birthday girls.
My hubby and I made this rainbow cake.
Here is a pic of the kids at the party. Thanks for everyone who helped us celebrate! I just love my family.

Surprise Visit

I've been busy with a surprise visit from my mom. It was amazing to see her. I hope she was able to rest up while she was here. We were still pretty busy. So today I am just going to rest and only do house work. Just wanted to do a quick post to let you know I'm still on the planet.

Some Seussical Fun

We went to the local high school tonight for a Dr. Seuss night. It was with the local library and the high school theater group. Can you guess what production the high school theater group is doing next week? If you guessed Seussical the Musical you are right. Now can you guess what the kids want to go see next week? I'm not even going to say it, I think you know. :) The first thing we did was to make some Lorax mustaches.
Dr Seuss coloring pages
Do you see those little cups? They have dirt and flower seeds in them. *sigh* Those little cups were stressing me out! I just knew we were going to spill those little cups. (One of them did tip over in the library but luckily it was on a little table and not on the carpet.) Anyways, we also went into the library and the actors from the Seussical Musical read several of the Dr. Seuss books. Before the students got into the library we had lots of time to kill. One of the teachers brought out some puppets for the kids to play with. The purple one is Figment.
There was also a dinosaur puppet, not pictured, and a wooly mammoth puppet.
That Lorax that she is holding got to come home with us. My Little Bit actually won a door prize. The whole thing was fun and I am glad that I decide to take the kids. Another funny story from that evening. There was a little girl there that was maybe two years old. She loved my boy. It was so cute. She would go to her stroller and bring him something. Then go back and get him something else. I think if he was sitting on the floor and not in a chair she would have climbed in his lap. So cute!

Working Out and Looking Cute

Don't worry. I am not posting pics of ME working out and looking cute. I unfortunately do not look cute working out. :) I have not been following my workout schedule lately. I have just been busy, busy, busy. I have got to get back to it! I am going to register for the mini-marathon after payday. That should help me stay motivated. And now for the cute part of my post. Next week is state testing for 3rd grade kids and up. So, the elementary school is having a different theme for each day this week. Today was wear your favorite hat day and here are my kids supporting our teams. :) Go Cards!
Go Vols!
